🌍 Darcie – Founder, Teacher, Cultural Connector
Directora Teacher
An internationally certified teacher with 30 years of experience in both Spain and her native California, Darcie brings heart, humor, and vision to everything at DarKha. She’s taught Spanish and English across ages and continents — always with a deep love for language, culture, and connection. After years of dreaming, she created DarKha Academy as a joyful bridge between her two homes: a place where bilingual learning blossoms and California meets Spain in every lesson.
🎨 Owen – Creative Guide for Curious Minds
Teacher
Originally from the U.S. and shaped by summers teaching in Chicago-area camps, Owen brings high energy, big imagination, and hands-on fun to our primary learners. Now based in Spain, he blends playful creativity with clear instruction — helping kids learn through movement, games, and storytelling. Whether he’s acting out vocabulary or leading a silly science experiment, Owen turns each lesson into an adventure that sticks.
🌱 Georgina – Early Years Expert from London
Teacher
Montessori-trained and bursting with warmth, Georgina brings over 10 years of experience guiding our youngest learners (ages 2–6) through joyful, curiosity-driven discovery. Originally from London, she creates magical, movement-filled moments where first words in Spanish come alive through songs, stories, and sensory play. Her calm, creative presence helps every child feel confident and cared for — making learning an adventure families love
🌟 Angie – Lifelong Educator from Mexico to Xàtiva

With over 25 years of teaching experience and the heart of a storyteller, Angie brings generations together through language. Originally from Mexico, where she directed a successful English academy, she now shares her warmth, wisdom, and joyful energy with students in Xàtiva — from our tiniest talkers to confident preteens. Her “abuela energy” makes every class feel like home: full of patience, laughter, and the kind of encouragement that leaves a lasting mark.
🎓 Laura – Bilingual Teacher with a Big Heart
Secretary
After six years teaching in London, Laura returned to Spain with a suitcase full of experience and a passion for bilingual learning. Credentialed in both Spanish and English, she works with all ages — from energetic little ones to focused adult learners — adapting her lessons with clarity, warmth, and purpose. Whether leading early language games or guiding deep grammar work, Laura’s calm presence and sharp teaching skills help every student feel capable, confident, and connected
📘 Patrick – Exam Coach with a European Twist

Originally from the Netherlands and fluent in English and Danish, Patrick brings calm confidence and a touch of dry humour to our teen classes. With his experience of guiding students through the challenges of B1 to C2 English exams, he knows exactly how to prepare them — not just to pass, but to grow. His gentle, steady style keeps students engaged, focused, and smiling even through tricky grammar drills and mock exams.
