Children exploring plants and rocks outdoors while learning about nature and insects during bilingual activities at DarKha Academy in Xàtiva
🌿🐞 Little explorers in action! Our students are discovering the world around them — observing nature up close, asking questions, and using English to describe what they see 🌱🔍

This April, our students (ages 1.5 to 17) will explore the theme: THE PLANET EARTH 🌱🌎

Through hands-on experiences, meaningful activities, and real-world connections, students will build vocabulary, practice sentence structure, and develop confidence speaking English in a natural and engaging way 💛

✨ Our Approach

At DarKha, learning goes beyond the classroom.

We combine language, culture, science, and creativity to create meaningful experiences that children remember.

Because at DarKha…

we don’t just learn English —

we live it 💛🌍

🌍 What do students learn during the Planet Earth theme?

Students learn vocabulary related to nature and the environment, including forests, rivers, mountains, and fields, while building sentence structure and confidence in English.

🌱 How do children learn nature vocabulary in a bilingual environment?

Students are introduced to key vocabulary through games, movement, and interactive activities. They connect new words to real-world experiences, making learning meaningful and memorable.

Cooking activities like making traditional Valencian horchata allow students to follow instructions, practice sequencing, and use everyday language in a real context.

🌿 Why are hands-on activities important in language learning?

Creative experiences like making aromatic plant sachets help students connect language to sensory learning. This strengthens memory, engagement, and confidence.

🌍 Why is experiential learning effective for bilingual education?

Language is learned best through real experiences. At DarKha, students don’t just study English — they use it while exploring, creating, and interacting with the world around them.
