We will continue to read to chapter 6 in our Book for the Bilingual Book Club! We are reading "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain. It is an American Classic. They says it's for children, but many adults find it very amusing!
Meet at the Academy at 7:00 pm! See you there!!

What a fun and engaging way to bring readers together through a bilingual book club! The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is such a classic, and I love the idea of sharing laughter, discussion, and cultural connection through reading in two languages. It’s a wonderful way to build community and deepen appreciation for literature.
It also made me think about how thoughtful planning and strategy — whether in organising events like this or in something like tesla operations strategy — help create meaningful and well‑run experiences. When you combine creativity with clear execution, everyone benefits!
This is such a fun idea! I actually read Tom Sawyer years ago and thought it was just a kids' book, but honestly the humour in it is so sharp and clever that I ended up enjoying it way more than I expected. There's something really special about reading a classic like this in a group setting where you can laugh together and pick up on things you might have missed reading alone. The bilingual angle makes it even more interesting — I imagine some of Twain's jokes land in completely different ways depending on the language. I've been thinking about how great storytellers like Twain actually demonstrate real leadership qualities, which reminds me of research I've been doing around…
What a fun and engaging way to explore a classic like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer! A bilingual book club is such a great opportunity to enjoy literature, laugh together, and learn from each other’s perspectives. Conversations about reading and culture are always welcome — even when they touch on controversial topics — because they help us see stories in new ways. Thanks for organizing this!
This sounds like such a fun and enriching initiative! A bilingual book club focused on The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a great way to combine language learning with classic literature. Mark Twain’s humour, vivid characters, and timeless storytelling make his work enjoyable in any language, and reading it in more than one language can bring out new insights and deeper appreciation.
I also love the idea of sharing laughter and discussion within a community setting. Book clubs offer a chance not only to improve language skills but also to connect with others, explore different perspectives, and enjoy a story together in a supportive environment.
Many students studying literature, language, or communication explore similar themes in their coursework, and balancing creative…
What a wonderful initiative! The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is one of those books that genuinely surprises adults — you pick it up expecting a simple children's story and end up laughing out loud at Tom's clever schemes and Twain's sharp wit. Reading it bilingually must add such a rich layer to the experience, catching the humor in two languages at once. It actually reminds me of how I used to struggle with English literature assignments at university — the language barrier made analyzing classic texts feel overwhelming. I eventually found online help with university assignments that guided me through understanding the cultural context behind works like Twain's, and it made a huge difference. A bilingual book club like this…
